The project in Djibouti will focus on 4 key areas of intervention to advance the rights of persons with disabilities in the country.
1.Capacity building of the government entities in charge of data management and collection will allow to upgrade the information available on persons with disabilities and ensure polices are adequately tailored. 2.To combat cultural stigma towards persons with disabilities and their families a national awareness campaign will be designed and implemented in collaboration with the National Agency of Persons with Disabilities. 3.Technical support and trainings will also be provided to the National Network of Persons with Disabilities to increase their advocacy strategies as well as their technical skills and knowledge. 4. Finally, leveraging the strong partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs legal support will be provided for the implementation of the new Disability Law to ensure CRPD compliance
